Self-Consciousness. Two of the most meaningful words to a teenage girl. During puberty, girls' confidence in themselves drops drastically, because of their appearance. Our appearances change, our weight fluctuates, we get acne, we get bullied... I got all four. Some of us compare ourselves to the stick-skinny models that appear on the front of magazines, and become more self-conscious about ourselves than we were to begin with. We try to change, resorting to methods that are unsafe, and that could potentially kill us. I'm among those girls. I've tried to change how I look, by trying to eat healthier, exercise more, but it just doesn't work.
"No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us."- 1 John 4:12 Ladies, no one should feel like they aren't loved because they aren't as skinny as they want to be, or their face isn't as clear as others', or because you get bullied. Surround yourself with people who lift you up, encourage you, love you, and don't stick around the people that don't. I've seen what happens to girls who try to change how they look, and it's not pretty. I thank God for being surrounded by people who love me, who don't care what I look like, and a guy who likes me for who I am. If you've gotten bored, and stopped reading my post, just remember this: God loves you for who you are, don't try and be someone else... stick with who you are- embrace your figure and your personality.

Hi! This is my blog (obviously...) where I will be sharing music that has inspired me, thoughts that I have, or just whatever I feel like writing about. If you like what you see, say something!
